Also, knowing that the computer is doing a bunch of work that I would otherwise be forced to do manually is so satisfying.

I feel like such a 1337 h4x0r when the stars align and all my workflows, Compressor droplets and various other things works in such a way that I’m able to do a task in mere seconds that I know my colleagues would spend multiple minuts doing.
Great summary of who the new Mac Pro is for and why.

I tend to get so frustrated when these kinds of topics comes up on atp and similar podcasts. There’s a whole world of pro audio and video with people who desperately wants a Mac that they can stick PCI cards an similar things in, and companies willing to make and sell those cards. That world has been trying to get by using worthless and expensive piece-of shit Thunderbolt-PCIe enclosures, or changing there stuff to use Thunderbolt instead of PCI for the past couple of years.
Take a look at BlackMagic Design, or Aja, or Avid for instance.

Finished my rewatch of the first season of Westworld tonight and loved it just as much as the first time. With hindsight, so many of the twists and turns are so clearly layed our before the view.
Tomorrow it’s on to season two!
🔖 Read ”En sån som du”, av Gillian Flynn
Loved this one, as I’ve done with every other of Gillian Flynn’s books. She’s probably my current favorite writer.
Walls for the garbage cans, the first of many projects this summer is completed.
The unexpected thing is that getting a house has actually made enjoy these kind of projects. I’d never thought that would happen.
🎞 Earlier this week I watched Mulholland Drive and now I can’t stop thinking about it. What was it that I saw? What did it mean? And why was I so moved by it?
I’m planning to watch it again soon. Also, I read this great analysis of the movie by Film Crit Hulk Smash.
