🎞 Watched: The Shining (1980)
Two nights ago Linn and I watched The Shining and I’ve recently finished the book. I have mixed feelings about this movie. I’ll get back to this soon, I hope.

Earlier this week (on Monday?) Linn and I watched The Woman in the Window. I have had the book that it’s based on in my bookshelf for a while but I haven’t gotten around to reading it. I do recall it was recommended to me in a book store because I said that I liked Gillian Flynn’s novels, so when I heard that there was a movie version and that it starred Amy Adams I really wanted to watch it.
All in all I liked it. The final confrontation scene seemed like a silly B movie but apart from that it really worked for me. Adams’ performance was great and the film genuinely scared me at times.
🎞 Watched: Jiro Dreams of Sushi (2011)
Fascinating movie. Not as entertaining as I had thought but still very interesting.
For those that can watch ”Sveriges Television”, or SVTPlay, the documentary Jiro Dreams of Sushi airs on SVT2 tonight at 21:20, and is available on SVTPlay for three months. I haven’t seen the movie but plan on doing it tonight.
🎞 Watched: Hidden Figures (2016)
This one was “on tv” tonight and my mother and I happened to catch in a few minutes after it started and it got us hook. A good one!
🎞 Watched: Behind the Curve (2018)
Oh. My. God.
I don’t have words to describe how delusional I think these people are.
Me, Linn and Linn’s father just 🎞 watched Eurovision Song Contest: The Story of Fire Saga (2020) and it was a delightfully stupid movie. Highly recommended if you want to laugh and not think.
I’m probably spending at most a forth of the time watching movies that I do watching Red Letter Media’s reviews of movies. Sometimes movies I haven’t even seen.
🎞 Watched: Spider-Man: Far from Home (2019)
As the movie goes on, the more Diarrhea Christmas lights the action scenes becomes but apart from that it’s a great movie. The high school kids stuff is a delight to watch and the chemistry between MJ and Peter is perfect.
I just 🎞 watched Frozen II with Linn and Iris. It was Iris’ first movie theater experience and she really liked it.
I thought the movie was really good. Maybe not quite as good as the first Frozen but highly entertaining.

13 juli, 2020 23:24@maique I wouldn’t necessarily say that it didn’t live up to my expectations. It was very interesting but it was the entertainment part of it that wasn’t quite what I expected.

14 juli, 2020 00:32@MrHenko For me it’s the way people talked about it, but our opinions seem to be similar. I expected a different thing, but can’t quite put my finger on it. Also found it very interesting, a great documentary, on a subject I like, set in a country I love, about the kind of work ethics I respect and would love to see in other places. It was just what I should be expecting, if I hadn’t listened to other people. Hard to explain, but I believe we’re on the same page.
