On the most recent Hello Internet CGP Grey voices some interesting concerns about how we spend out attention and he lists podcasts as one of the ways he unintentionally fills all downtime for his brain.
And yes, it is off course a bit ironic to hear this on a podcast but I never the less agree with him. I’m in the middle of listening to their discussion now, so maybe I’ll re-evaluate some of my own media consumption afterwards.
Judging by my drinking habits, I should probably have a lot more tattoos and facial hair.
It seems like the correct way to get spatial audio to work on the Oculus Go is to encode your video as a ”Facebook 360 Video” in the FB360 Encoder.
Turns out Android File Transfer works with the Oculus Go if you want to transfer/sideload files from your Mac.
@MrHenko great timing friend just sent me an Android game he has been working on and am trying to figure out how to use old Android phone I have located ! 👍
@adamprocter Cool! I’m glad that a post that was almost 100% for my own future selfs benifit actually helped someone else as well. That’s one of the cool things about blogging. Even the things that you think will only help your self might be valuable to someone else.

I agree completely.
@MrHenko Nice
@adamprocter Yeah, at least now I’ve got one out of three covered. :)
@MrHenko hahah indeed
I just realized why the web was suddenly so ugly and full of ads, I had forgotten to install Ghostery on my new machine. Problem solved and the web looks decent gain.

1 september, 2018 20:55@MrHenko I subscribe to a lot … I listen to a few … Castro is great for curation … the ones that have interesting guests and / or topics make it … rambling 2.5 hour ‘casts like @gruber ‘s do not get listened to any more.

5 september, 2018 11:16@JohnPhilpin I tried the same thing a year or so ago and I really liked the organization of Castro. However there was something about the astetics of Castro that just didn’t fit with me. It feel weird to say, but using it felt wrong for a lack of better word. Once I switched back to Overcast I felt at home again, but I do miss the inbox style approach.
