@MrHenko Awesome! Looks like you got it working ?
@colinwalker Yes, I reverted back to my old home made theme and then it worked. Still going to look into modifying something like SemPress or P2 to act the way I’d like, though. Either that or spend time working on my old theme to make it better.
@MrHenko Hopefully it won’t take too much work.

@johnjohnston You use SemPress for your blog, right? Have you encountered the problem that the theme adds titles to title-less posts and that those titles then F-s up the Micro.blog syndication?
@MrHenko ping @johnjohnston
@MrHenko @johnjohnston One approach is to remove the post title from the RSS feed for specific categories. An alternative is automatically add a date as the title which m.b ignores.
@colinwalker Thanks for the suggestion, but unfortunately those won’t quite do it for me. I use my main RSS feed to feed m.b to post titles and links for ”full” posts and I don’t like dates clogging up my post titles. I want title-less posts to be title-less, even inside of WP.
@MrHenko You could use a variant of the date method to set a blank title within WordPress combined with the RSS option in case it then inserts something (in my experience it’s normally the post ID) – it’s frustrating that WordPress tries to put a title on everything.
@colinwalker That’s a good idea! (In my experience WP has never been picky about titles. The problem has come up for me with various themes.)
@MrHenko WP is fine to save and present stuff without titles but when it comes to linking or sharing it always wants to call it something which is understandable I suppose.
@colinwalker I (temporarily) solved it by switching back to my old theme. When SemPress didn’t behave the way I wanted it to I tried a few others and P2 seemed great in everyway, but it had the same problem. My own, old theme hasn’t had this problem, so I hope it sill works.
@MrHenko I like titles;) I remove in rss for micro. Add titles in if there are none. gist.github.com/troutcolo… might be a bit out of date.
@johnjohnston Have you replaced the functions.php in SemPress with your custom script or how does it work?
@MrHenko I’ve got a child theme. So my functions.php is added on.
@johnjohnston I see! I got to learn about how to set up a child theme someday. I’m sure it’s not hard, but I’ve just never gotten around to it.
@MrHenko they are good as any changes don’t get written over when theme is updated. I’ve used them a few times but alway need to read codex to do it again. codex.wordpress.org/Child_The…
@johnjohnston I was literally, yes literally, about to click a link in google to that codex page when I got the notification from you! :)
@MrHenko who needs google when you have micro.blog;-)

20 oktober, 2017 09:00@MrHenko I’ll definitely watch it whenever I stop coughing, because Blade Runner, but I hear what you’re saying about the original. It was a class apart, absolutely iconic, so I think we have to approach 2049 almost forgetting about that.

20 oktober, 2017 13:50@colinwalker Indeed. It would have been interesting to have seen a version of 2049 that wasn’t a Blade Runner sequel. Since you’re going to see it soon I won’t spoil anything, but even without discussing the details of it I can say that I think it could have stood on its own merits and probably been better of for it.

20 oktober, 2017 15:41@MrHenko “sitting in you car talking to yourself” great. Enjoyed the microcast. I think I liked Blade Runner 2049 better than you. For me it still spoke about life and it’s end. (See also “Never Let Me Go”)

20 oktober, 2017 16:12@johnjohnston I’m glad you enjoy my car adventure. :) Honestly, recording these outside of my home or private office makes me really self-concious. That is probably partly because I record them in a ”foreign” language.
Anyway, I’m glad you likes 2049! I didn’t dislike it and I don’t think it’s a bad movie. I just can’t make up my mind about it.

20 oktober, 2017 16:43@MrHenko I don’t think it is just speaking in another tongue. I need the door shut to record anything. Unless well away from the crowd.
