Every singer, no matter how technically skilled, has their voice change by time. Every singer but Robert Smith. I don’t understand how it’s possible for him to sound exactly the same today as he did twenty-five years ago.
@MrHenko Change, yes. But somehow, despite losing a note or two at the top of my First Tenor range, I’m singing better (choral) than at any time earlier in my life — and loving it.

The fact that my phone throws up notifications with the actual text ”notification” instead of what it’s supposed to notify me about, that is an iOS 13 bug, right?

Iris, my four year old, has convinced herself lately that she loves Star Wars. A few years ago she got a book called ”When Rey met BB-8” which is a child-appropriate version of the scenes in ”The Force Awakens” where Rey is introduced and where she mets BB-8. The book ends just prior to Unkhar Plot’s goons trying to steal BB-8.
I’ve read that book to her a lot and she knows that I really like Star Wars, so I think that is why she really wants to like it as well. So a few weeks ago, after getting tired of reading that book *every night*, I suggested that we’d try to find a comic book version of the whole film and read that. So we bought that from Comixology and since then, whenever I’m the one reading to her at night, we’ve slowly made our way through ”The Force Awakens*
Tonight we read the lightsaber duel between Rey and Kylo Ren and I asked her if she wanted to see it in the movie, which she did. So we watched that scene on the iPad and at least according to herself, she liked it and thought it was exciting but not scary.
So fingers crossed that she won’t have nightmares tonight and that she still wants to like Star Wars tomorrow.

20 oktober, 2019 17:25@MrHenko I suppose it depends on what character’s point of view you take for that last season. I love Margo’s sassy sharpness and Elliot’s cheekiness. They were a lot of fun so I was happy. S4 was a bit weird. I’m just grateful the concept exists at all. Super duper creativity. Enjoy that bourbon.

Hmmm the last JJ got quite random didn’t it? Far out and weird. I liked the second series best. The first, I skipped a lot of episodes because I didn’t like the concept and David Tennant was too much of a nasty baddy for me. I just love JJ’s bad ass character.
