I have it set up to pull my YouTube videos back to my website as blog posts that embed the YouTube video. I mostly consider my YouTube content separate right now, mainly because I am actually trying to play the YouTube game.

@MrHenko I’m using the daily snapshots of the server (Digital Ocean) as my backup method.
@jamesvandyne Is that something your creating manually or is it automated. I’m on Linode so I’ll need to check is something similar is available there.

@jeremycherfas I’m searching for it now but I can’t find it in the WP plugin directory. Do you have a link?
@MrHenko The one I use is at github.com/matzko/wp… I notice that is has not been tested with the latest version, but it is still working for me.

@MrHenko inte alls 😜 Jag har inget jag inte skulle kunna göra om plus att jag litar på att Websupport har en fungerande backup. Använde JetPack tjänsten några år men ville bort från WordPress
@jemostrom Och då är Webbsupport någon sorts ”shared host”, eller hur? Jag kör på en VPS hos Linode, så de tar så vitt jag vet inga backuper på min ”maskin”.
Någon särskild anledning till att du ville bort från WP?

@MrHenko har funderat på Linode många gånger men eftersom släkten har sin email på mina domäner så blir det för dyrt att ha två tjänster

Yeah! I’ve been giving sneak peeks on my livestreams, but once I get things a little more polished off I’ll do a proper video on it! (Wait til you see what I have planned for the ceiling lights!)
Now I’m intrigued! I don’t have a nearly as ambitious setup as you but I feel like I’m learning a whole lot from your videos that I’m able to use in my own online teaching.
Do you publish your YouTube content on your own website as well, or do you link to it from somewhere, or are YouTube a separate thing from your other stuff?
And on a side note, did you get a proper webmention from my blog from my last post or did you pick it up somewhere else like micro.blog? Clearly you did find it since you replied to it, but I don’t see my post as a response on your original post. I’m redoing my WP theme and I think I’ve broken a few things regarding webmentions.

If too many people feel this way, the US will face four more years of Trump. Please, regardless of your feelings for Biden, remember what the alternative is. Hint: It is not four years of whatever your favourite is, unless the favourite is Trump.
